Rachel Atkinson, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner

Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a neurodiversity affirming speech-language pathologist, who truly believes in celebrating the unique strengths and interests of each child. I've worked with children and families for over 10 years in our community. I'm parenting right alongside you all, experiencing the joys and struggles of nurturing a little one. I hope to create a space where you and your child feel wholly accepted, seen, and heard. I believe that communication shouldn't feel like work. My philosophy centers around planting the seed of communication in child-led, play-based learning experiences. Let's work together to grow your little one's communication!

  • "My youngest has truly found her voice and is saying new words all the time..."

“Ms. Rachel has been amazing for my family. She literally changed our lives. Because of Ms. Rachel and her being willing to slow down and really evaluate how my daughters process language and diagnose them as gestalt language processors, we were able to get the right tools in place to help them find their voices. My oldest has had a whole new world open up to her with her AAC device and being able to finally communicate. My youngest has truly found her voice and is saying new words all the time and I really believe it is all thanks to Ms. Rachel.”

    ~ Crystal

  • "She makes the time to research the latest evidence-based research to ensure her clients receive the most current interventions in their treatment plans."

“I had the privilege of mentoring Rachel through her Clinical Fellowship year, and continuing to work with her as a colleague once she obtained her ASHA CCC’s. Rachel possesses the qualities every mentor looks for in a clinical fellow, co-worker, and clinician. She is detail oriented, empathetic, organized, and collaborative, but most importantly, Rachel is a continuous learner. She makes the time to research the latest evidence-based research to ensure her clients receive the most current interventions in their treatment plans.”

    ~ Jamie, M.S., CCC-SLP

  • "Rachel is great at what she does, and any child and family would benefit from having her on their care team."

“Rachel is a dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable provider. Her ability to connect with clients and families in order to provide meaningful care is unmatched. Rachel is great at what she does, and any child and family would benefit from having her on their care team.”

    ~Natalie, M.S., CCC-SLP
